Welcome to my website created to let my friends, old, new, and yet to meet, know what’s going on with me, Grace E. Howell, the author.

Before the release of my first novel, True Friends, by Echelon Press in August 2005, I participated in Chicago’s big book fair on Printers’ Row in June with other Echelon authors.  To my great delight and surprise, True Friends, was a hit with Chicago browsers at the fair.  Though the book was written for children ages 9 and up, Chicago adults wanted it for themselves.  One woman bought it on Saturday and came back Sunday to tell me she could not stop reading it.  She only broke away long enough to come and tell me she loved it. What a thrill for me!
